About lizzie edwards
"I have always been interested in fashion, but that which is simple, stylish, effortless and wearable in the real world."
Upon leaving school I went to college to study fashion & textiles. Soon after, I was 'spotted' by Storm model agency and spent much of the 1990’s working as a fashion model - living in London, Milan and Paris. I had the privilege of working some of the leading fashion photographers including Rankin, Corrine Day, and David Sims for magazines The Face, I-D and Dazed & Confused.
I also worked for fashion magazines such as Elle, Marie Claire, and Glamour and as a fit model with designers including John Galliano, Jasper Conran, Karl Lagerfeld, Chloe, and Issey Miyake.
In 2005 I set up my Style and Wardrobe Consultancy. I combined my background in fashion, a talent and love for shopping and effortless style, and an interest in personal development. I loved advising people on what to wear, and it was a joy to see how my skills helped people become more confident and happy.
I first studied Personal Colour & Style in the USA with leaders in the image industry Carla Mathis and Brenda Kinsel. As my business grew, increasingly many of my clients were executive women. I then trained in Corporate Image and Executive Presence with Diane Craig of Corporate Class, becoming the only person in the UK certified by her as an Executive Presence trainer.
I am also one of only a handful of UK style and image consultants who has been certified by the Association of Image Consultants International (AICI, FLC)
I have featured in The Sunday Times, CNN, and have created a series of videos for NIVEA.
I was also recently interviewed about dressing for work on BBC Radio Business Daily and your can hear it here
I love my work, and have great fun with my clients. In the 12 years since I started my consultancy I have worked with hundreds of women, spoken in front of countless groups and led workshops helping people discover their personal style and upgrade their image.
I offer no-nonsense advice and my expertise to create with them an effortless, wearable wardrobe and advise on dressing for leadership with style and gravitas.
I am currently putting the finishing touches to my first book, 'Look Like The Leader You Are; A Seven Step Style Strategy For Ambitious Women', due to be published in April 2018.
I'm a supporter and occasional 'dresser' at Smart Works, a UK wide charity that enables women on low incomes get a job and become financially independent. It empowers them to succeed in getting a job and move on with their lives by supplying them with an interview outfit and training.
I live in North London, with my husband and dog, and in my spare time I am a keen allotmenteer, with a particular passion for growing Dahlias.
I would love to help you with your style and image, so please do get in touch,
