About lizzie edwards
"I have always been interested in fashion and style, but that which is wearable and relevant to the real world. "
I knew I wanted to work with fashion in some way, and upon leaving school I went to college to study fashion & textiles. Soon after, I was 'spotted' by Storm model agency and spent much of the 1990’s working as a fashion model - living in London, Milan and Paris. I had the privilege of working with a variety of talented experts - Photographers including Rankin, Corrine Day, and David Sims for magazines The Face, I-D and Dazed & Confused.
I also worked for fashion magazines such as Elle, Marie Claire, and Glamour and as a fit model with designers including John Galliano, Jasper Conran, Karl Lagerfeld, Chloe, and Issey Miyake.
In 2005 I set up my Style and Wardrobe Consultancy, combining my background in fashion, a love of shopping and understated style, and an interest in personal development. It felt effortless to build rapport and advise people on what to wear, and a huge joy to see how my skills helped people feel to feel happy and more confident.
I went on to study Personal Colour & Style in America, and also trained in Corporate Image and Executive Presence, becoming certified as an Executive Presence trainer. I am one of only 5 UK based consultants who has been certified by the Association of Image Consultants International (AICI, FLC)
I have featured in the Federation of Image Consultants (FIC) magazine, Image Now, The Sunday Times, on CNN, and as a Fashion Expert for NIVEA, having created a series of podcasts for their 'Beauty is…' series.
I really love my work, and have great fun with my clients. In the 12 years since I started my consultancy I have worked with hundreds of women, spoken in front of countless groups and led workshops helping people discover their personal style and upgrade their image.
I offer no-nonsense, undiluted expertise on effortless style for highly ambitious busy, women over thirty five, and I would love to help you too.
I am currently busy writing and researching a book about personal style and image, due to be published in late 2017. Watch this space!
I am a big supporter and occasional 'dresser' at Smart Works, a UK wide charity that enables women on low incomes get a job and become financially independent. It empowers them to succeed in getting a job and move on with their lives by supplying them with an interview outfit and training.
