We're now less than a week away from the wedding of the decade so we've decided to take a look back at some of the future princess and Queen's best outfits...

Of course we had to kick off our top three with Kate's engagement Issa dress. We were big fans of Issa before but seeing the incredibly flattering sapphire blue dress (a perfect match to that other sapphire on her finger), we - and the rest of the nation - fell seriously head over heels for the London-based label.

What we're most excited about is the dress! Just what will it be like? There have been plenty of rumours circulating ever since the engagement was announced but lately the name that has been cropping up a lot is Libelula - makers of this velvet coat. After Kate was spotted in the piece, 300 people signed up to have their name put down on the wedding list. With this outfit we love how Kate has mixed dark colours with the same sort of texture for a chic look.

Kate has long been a champion of British designers and the British highstreet. Whilst Kate dresses rather conservatively for most women of her age (we suppose being under constant scruntiny will do that to a girl) we loved seeing her in this Temperley dress which is fun, age-appropriate and appropriate for someone in the public eye. Although we often see Kate wearing a lot of solid colours, we were over the moon to see her sporting a black and white blocked dress with eye-catching neckline (eye-catching for all the right reasons, that is!)

And, ending on this note, we hope her dress is something similar - something that is truly appropriate for a modern day princess.
