About lizzie edwards

"I have always been interested in fashion and style, but that which is wearable and relevant to the real world. "

I knew I wanted to work with fashion in some way, and upon leaving school I went to college to study fashion & textiles. Soon after, I was 'spotted' by Storm model agency and spent much of the 1990’s working as a fashion model - living in London, Milan and Paris. I had the privilege of working with a variety of talented experts - Photographers including Rankin, Corrine Day, and David Sims for magazines The Face, I-D and Dazed & Confused.

I also worked for fashion magazines such as Elle, Marie Claire, and Glamour and as a fit model with designers including John Galliano, Jasper Conran, Karl Lagerfeld, Chloe, and Issey Miyake.

In 2005, when in my early thirties, I set up my Style and Wardrobe Consultancy. I combined my background in fashion, a love of shopping and effortless style, and an interest in personal development. It loved advising people on what to wear, and it was a huge joy to see how my skills helped people feel to feel happy and more confident.

I first studied Personal Colour & Style in the USA with leaders in the image industry Carla Mathis and Brenda Kinsel. As my business grew and more of my clients were executive women trained in Corporate Image and Executive Presence with Diane Craig of Corporate Class, becoming the only person in the UK certified by her as an Executive Presence trainer. I am one of only a handful of UK style and image consultants who has been certified by the Association of Image Consultants International (AICI, FLC)

I have featured in the Federation of Image Consultants (FIC) magazine, Image Now, The Sunday Times, on CNN, and as a Fashion Expert for NIVEA, having created a series of podcasts for their 'Beauty is…' series.

I was recently interviewed about dressing for work on BBC Radio Business Daily and your can hear it here

I really love my work, and have great fun with my clients. In the 12 years since I started my consultancy I have worked with hundreds of women, spoken in front of countless groups and led workshops helping people discover their personal style and upgrade their image.

Now in my mid forties, I personally now work with senior executive women leaders, usually of a similar age. I offer no-nonsense, undiluted expertise and create for them an effortless, wearable wardrobe and advise on dressing for leadership with style and gravitas.

I am currently writing a book on how what you wear can impact your career, and creating a wardrobe that works, due to be published in late 2017. Watch this space!

I'm a supporter and occasional 'dresser' at Smart Works, a UK wide charity that enables women on low incomes get a job and become financially independent. It empowers them to succeed in getting a job and move on with their lives by supplying them with an interview outfit and training.

I live in North London, with my husband a dog, and in my spare time I am a keen allotmenteer, with a particular passion for growing flowers.

I would love to help you with your style and image, so please do get in touch,

about the team

In 2015, after 10 years building my own brand of Personal Styling and Image Consulting, the time was right to expand. I therefore now have a small team of associate stylists who work with the clients I cannot work with myself.

I found there was a lack of personal stylists working specifically with professional women over thirty-five; women who want to look fashionable but not overly trendy, and up to date and stylish in an effortless way.

This led me to grow my personal styling brand to meet demand. Lizzie Edwards now has a small team of associate stylists, who I have taken great care to choose, who fit the brand ethos and values, as well as having great style.

All associate stylists are in their mid thirties, have over 10 years styling experience, and are trained in my approach. They also go above and beyond to deliver a great result to those clients on a smaller budget, or who I don't have the capacity to work with myself.

In addition to the stylists, we have a talented and experienced make up artist Kit Hall, who has worked with our clients for over 10 years. Kit is one of the UK's leading bridal make up artists, as well as working on many TV shows, advertising campaigns and magazine shoots.

Last but not least we have a fantastic PA, Sophie. She deals with the day to day running of things, such as enquiries and bookings, making it possible for us to spend as much time as possible working with clients, which is what we are most passionate about.

Please get in touch if you would like to have a chat about working with Us
