personal information

OUR PRIVACY POLICY

We take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy describes our privacy practices and policy regarding the collection and use of information (including personally identifiable information) made available to us through http://www.lizzieedwards.com (the “Lizzie Edwards Style Consultancy Website”).

WHO WE ARE

Lizzie Edwards Style Consultancy (LESC) is an accredited  Personal Styling and Image Consulting company based in London, UK, offering a bespoke service to those wishing to overhaul their wardrobe and overall look.  Together with her team, Lizzie works with clients – primarily women in the business world – looking to update their image and progress in their careers.

HOW WE PROCESS YOUR PERSONAL DATA

The processing of information (your “personal data”), such as the name, e-mail address, postal address, date of birth, bank details and/or credit card information relating to an identified or identifiable person (“data subject”) shall always be in line with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). By means of this data protection declaration, we would like to inform the general public of the nature, scope, and purpose of the personal data we collect, use and process. Furthermore, data subjects are informed, by means of this data protection declaration, of the rights to which they are entitled.

LESC complies with its obligations under the GDPR by keeping personal data up to date; by storing and destroying it securely; by not collecting or retaining excessive amounts of data; by protecting personal data from loss, misuse, unauthorised access and disclosure and by ensuring that appropriate technical measures are in place to protect personal data.

LESC collects details provided by you when you join our monthly newsletter mailing list, sign up for an enquiry call, or become a client of LESC (our “Services”). We may also collect additional personally identifiable information through your participation in any promotions and competitions offered by us.

REASONS/PURPOSES FOR PROCESSING INFORMATION

We use the personal information we collect to enable us to:

  • Provide you with information that may affect your use of our Services

  • Communicate marketing and promotional offers to you

We may also use your personal data to communicate with you in the event of a change in our business practices, or our Terms of Service or Privacy Policy. We may also use your personal data to send you information, exclusive offers and promotions.

Whenever you use a website or other internet service, a series of general data and information gets created and logged automatically. The same is true when you use the LESC website. This general data and information are stored in the server log files. Some of the types of information we may collect are:

  • the operating system used by the accessing system

  • the website from which an accessing system reaches our website (so-called referrers)

  • the date and time of access to the Internet site

  • an Internet protocol address (IP address)

  • the Internet service provider of the accessing system

  • any other similar data and information that may be used in the event of attacks on our information technology systems

When collecting this general data and information, the LESC website does not draw any conclusions about the data subject. Rather, this information is needed to:

  • deliver the content of our website correctly

  • optimise the content of our website as well as its advertisement

  • ensure the long-term viability of our information technology systems and website technology

  • provide law enforcement authorities with the information necessary for criminal prosecution in case of a cyber-attack.

Therefore, the LESC website analyses anonymously collected data and information statistically, with the aim of increasing the data protection and data security of the LESC website, and to ensure an optimal level of protection for the personal data we process. Whether we collect some or all of this information often depends on what type of device you’re using and its settings. For example, different types of information are available depending on whether you’re using a Mac or a PC, or an iPhone or Android phone.

We sometimes need to share the personal information we process with other organisations. This is always done in compliance with all aspects of the GDPR. Therefore, we may share, and you hereby consent to our sharing of, personal information with service providers who assist in the delivery of our Services we provide to you, the enforcement of our terms and conditions, and the promotion of trust and safety.

We will never sell or rent your personal information to a natural or legal person, public authority, agency or body (“third party”).

BOOKING TERMS

Session dates can be reserved up to one month in advance.

Fees are subject to VAT at 20%.

The fee agreed on the phone will be confirmed in writing in a Confirmation Email within 48 hours.

It is your responsibility to check the content of the Confirmation Email and that you agree with the sessions, dates and fee quoted.

The Confirmation of Booking Terms is our contract and signing and returning this document confirms your agreement with our fees and the way we work. If you have any queries or questions regarding its content, please respond within 48 hours.

Where applicable, all sessions that comprise a package must be completed within 6 months from the date of the first session.

We will be in touch to remind you to book in any additional sessions that form your package. We cannot guarantee availability at short notice, therefore bookings are advisable one month before your preferred date, especially in the peak season (October-November/ May-June), to avoid disappointment.

DEPOSIT TERMS

On making a booking we require a non-refundable £200 deposit, paid by debit or credit card over the phone, via PayPal.

On payment of a deposit you will either schedule your dates with Lizzie, or be contacted by your stylist to schedule your dates directly. The payment of the deposit pencils in your preferred dates with your stylist.

As stated in the Consumer Contracts Regulations of June 2014, you have a 14 day cooling off period during which you are entitled to a refund of your £200 deposit, minus a £50 admin fee, if you decide to cancel.

After 14 days the deposit for your booking is non refundable, but is transferrable to another date within 6 months of the cancelled session date.

PAYMENT AND CANCELLATION TERMS

Initial Payment: 50% of the total balance is due (the fee, less deposit paid) 30 days before the first booked session date of any package, by BACS transfer.

You can also choose to pay the full balance at this stage, 30 days before your first booked session.

Balance Payment: The remaining 50% is due 7 days before the first booked session date by BACS transfer.

On receipt of your initial payment you will be emailed your Style Preparation Assignment.

Payment by other methods will be considered on request. Payment by credit card may be subject to additional fees.

Due to high demand for dates, we reserve the right to release session dates to other clients if the final balance has not been received within 48 hours of invoicing.

If there will be a delay in payment, for any reason, let us know as soon as possible so we can hold your dates for an extended period of up to 48 hours.

A cancelled session is non-transferable from 48 hours before the session date, except in exceptional circumstances at our discretion.

In the instance of cancellation of a session (as above) that is part of a package, the fee owed by the client to rebook the session will be the equivalent half day or day rate.

Please notify us immediately should you need to cancel a session, and we will do our best to rebook you for a suitable alternative date as soon possible. Please note that in peak season this may be as long as 6 weeks for a session with Lizzie.

If in the event of booking and paying for a package that you are unable to start, the package start date can be postponed up to 12 months

TRAVEL

Shopping sessions take place in central London. Other cities can be considered, whereby travel costs and time will be agreed beforehand.

GIFT VOUCHER TERMS

Gift Vouchers are £200 which represents the deposit payment of £200 and are subject to the Deposit Terms laid out in this document.  Gift Vouchers are valid for 6 months, except by prior arrangement or in exceptional circumstances (such as illness, injury, pregnancy or emigration)

There is a 14 day cooling off period from the date of purchasing a Gift Voucher during which you are entitled to a full refund of your payment, less an admin fee of £50, if you decide to cancel. There is a further 48 hours from the 'giving date' (e.g. birthday or Christmas), if it is outside of this window, if the gift is deemed unwanted or unsuitable.

Unfortunately, after this time, no refunds will be given.

ASSOCIATE STYLIST BOOKINGS

Our 'Associate Stylists' are under contract to work with Lizzie Edwards Style Consultancy clients as per the conditions of the company, and as such we equally expect clients to kindly respect this and only contact or make bookings with Associate Stylists through 'Lizzie Edwards Style Consultancy'.

DELIVERABLES

All stylists will work to the best of their ability to deliver the best possible results for clients. However, full engagement of the client is required and we respectfully ask that you take time to prepare for the sessions by completing the Style Preparation Assignment, including the Inspiration Board and Pinterest Board and purchase hangers as suggested where appropriate. This is for your benefit to make the most of your investment in our services and expertise.

We understand that this is a time commitment, but when executed correctly, it is one which will pay for itself many times over.

We know you are busy, and taking time out of work can prove difficult, but it is important you are engaged and present during your sessions. Where necessary, please let people know you are in a meeting and unable to answer your phone or emails. You will be free at lunchtime and be able to check in with family and work if you need to.

If there is a planned call you need to be on, a break can be scheduled to accommodate it. Please mention this in advance or on the day to your stylist, who will be happy to work around this where possible.

Your stylist will research the stores and do their best to prepare for the shopping session, however availability of specific stock is out of their control.

It is our foremost intention that you have a great experience, and are over the moon with the results of working with us. In the unfortunate, and unlikely event that you have a concern or complaint about the service delivered, please bring it to our attention as soon as possible during the session, or within 48 hours following. To get the best results, open and honest communication is essential, so please bring any concerns to your stylist as soon as you have them so they can be discussed and rectified.

DATA PROTECTION

In accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998, any and all information you provide about yourself for the purposes of your style sessions will be held in the strictest confidence, and never shared with anyone outside of LESC.

Your information will only be used to contact you about your enquiry or booking, and in the future to let you know of any products or services that may interest you. If at any time you no longer wish us to hold any information or records about you please let us know by emailing admin@lizzieedwards.com.

Your information is held in a password protected database and email system, and all computers used are password protected.

Any payment information taken as means of a deposit is not held by us, but directly input into a 'PayPal Here' device only.

INSURANCE

Stylists are covered by Public and Products Liability Insurance through Hiscox.
